Definition

The 3 Building Blocks

  1. All organisms are composed of one or more cells. (Unicellular or Multicellular).
  2. The cell is the basic unit of life.
  3. Cells arise from pre-existing cells.

Modern Version

  1. Energy flow occurs within cells.
  2. DNA is passed from one cell to another.
  3. All cells have the same basic chemical composition.
